Keynote Lecture: Pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment – A few hints to the blame game

In his keynote lecture Professor Morten Dornonville de la Cour will cover the epidemiology of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, its risk factors and the impact of cataract surgery on the occurrence of retinal detachment in the individual patient, and in the population at large.


Aurel-von-Szily Lecture – Immunopathogenesis of Anterior Uveitis

This year’s Aurel-von-Szily Lecture of the DOG-Uveitis section, taking place during DOG 2016, will be given by Professor Denis Wakefield from the Faculty of Medicine, Lowy Cancer Research Centre of the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Special Course for Non-German Speaking Participants

Development of Optical Coherence Tomography has been one of the most important steps in Retinology in the last 10 years. In this course, experts will give an overview concerning physical principles, clinical application and technical equipment.


Posters in Unrivaled Sessions

The poster sessions will take place from Thursday to Saturday immediately after the lunch break and without competition from other ­simultaneous events. In order to devote appropriate attention to the posters, all posters will be presented and discussed in small groups, each of which will be facilitated by two ­moderators. Headsets will be issued.
